Since 1965, the Anzac Day Trust Fund has provided annual grants to organisations that support the welfare of veterans, their families and their dependents, in Queensland.

Donations

The Anzac Day Trust Fund is principally made up of State Government funding, however, donations from the broader community are welcomed.

All donations contribute to supporting the welfare of veterans, their families and dependents, through grants made to eligible organisations in Queensland.

Anzac Day Trust Fund Grant Program 2025

The Queensland Veterans’ Council is working to ensure that the 2025 grant program will deliver outcomes that will achieve an increased impact for the veteran community in Queensland. In 2025 a funding pool of approximately $1.7 million is available for distribution through the Anzac Day Trust Fund.

This year the Queensland Veterans’ Council will deliver the grant program through two separate streams:

  • Stream A: Grants up to $10,000 for retrospective reimbursement of expenditure incurred during the 2023-2024 Australian Tax Office Financial Year. This funding stream is only available to small organisations.
  • Stream B: Competitive grants of up to $100,000 each for innovative projects to address the needs of veterans and their dependents over a 12-month period. Applicants are required to demonstrate how their activities will provide improved outcomes for the veteran community.

Changes to the ADTF program in 2025

To ensure we handle the applications effectively and efficiently, each funding stream will be released separately and come with its own dedicated set of guidelines. By separating the guidelines for each stream, we aim to streamline our assessment process, making it clearer and more focused for applicants.

Furthermore, as part of our commitment to continually refining our grant program, we’ve introduced key enhancements for each funding stream this year. We’ve simplified Stream A to make it more user-friendly, and for Stream B, we’ve provided greater details about the assessment process to ensure applicants have a clear understanding of what is expected in completing of their application and in satisfying any reporting conditions during and after completion of their funded project. These improvements reflect our commitment to accessibility and transparency throughout our grant program.

Stream A: Announcement of successful 2025 recipients

Successful Stream A recipients were announced on 31 October 2025. 101 organisations will receive a share of total Stream A funding of $500,052 as retrospective reimbursement of eligible expenditure incurred in the 2023-24 Financial Year.

A full list of successful recipients is provided below:

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications.

Due to the program being significantly oversubscribed, the total funding request exceeded the available funding pool. To ensure fairness and equity, funding has been apportioned across eligible applicants. This approach allows the Queensland Veterans’ Council to support as many applicants as possible while adhering to the program objectives. We thank all applicants for their understanding and their commitment to the welfare of veterans and their families.
